  Dr. Ying is absolutely fabulous! My 17 year old daughter had her first cochlear implant in September and her second in December. It was a great experience. Dr. Ying explained everything in detail and was extremely thorough. She has a warm caring bedside manner and my daughter absolutely loves her as do we!

  Dr. Ying is amazing! I went to her for an ear problem and she diagnosed the problem after some tests and scheduled surgery promptly. When the same problem came back a year later, she took immediate action and did an extensive surgery, which relieved the pain I had been having. Not only is she a great doctor but she truly cares for her patients. I highly recommend her!!

  Dr. Ying has truly changed my life. I perforated my eardrum back when I was 13 years old and underwent three failed operations before I was referred to her. She was the only surgeon who recommended a unique approach where the perforation could be closed from behind the eardrum. I had told her that I only wanted the procedure done if it could be performed endoscopically, and while she assured me that there was no guarantee, she said that she would try.
  
  It has been about 6 months since my surgery and the perforation is completely closed. I am finally able to swim and live my life without the burden of persistent ear infections. Dr. Ying cares deeply for her patients and goes above and beyond to make sure that they are comfortable throughout the entire process. Several years ago I accepted the fact that my ear may never be fixed, but thanks to Dr. Ying I am onto a new chapter of my life!

  My 90 year old mother had significant sensory neural hearing loss which affected her quality of life. Her hearing progressively worsened over the last 10 years. Hearing aides were no longer benefiting her ability to hear sounds clearly enough to recognize accuracy of speech. She decided she wanted to have a cochlear implant done to enhance her ability to hear clarity of sounds. We found Dr. Mary Ying who was able to successfully perform this surgical procedure with minimum discomfort. Dr. Ying was very professional, knowledgable, and competent in her assessment of my mother's condition and determination of how to best meet her needs. Our experience was very positive with both Dr. Ying and our link to the audiologist who worked closely with Dr. Ying in programming the cochlear implant. It has been 3 months since the surgery and my mother's hearing has definitely improved giving her more confidence to access social settings. It is a process and she continues to acclimate to the device. We are very pleased with the end result and I highly recommend the services of Dr. Mary Ying if you are in a situation to need a cochlear implant for improved hearing.
