  I grew up with this warm an nurturing synagogue. Incomparable Rabinical leadership and an amazing youth department. There are a vast array of programs from comedy night to serious learning initiatives

Rabbi Reuven Fink has served as Mara D'Asra of Young Israel of New Rochelle (YINR) since 1981. During Rabbi Fink's tenure, YINR has grown dramatically in membership and under his leadership has instituted a wide range of programs and services. In 2008, YINR dedicated a new synagogue building and the community's first mikvah.

Young Israel of New Rochelle » YINR History

On September 24, 1957, YINR acquired as its first synagogue building a colonial house at 225 Coligni Avenue, near Webster Avenue. In 1962, Rabbi Israel Goldberg was engaged as the community's first spiritual leader. He left in 1965 to head a synagogue in Dorchester, Massachusetts.
