  Abby Contract is terrific and so is her "Bone Boost" yoga class! It is very relaxed but follows a well-researched series of poses to promote bone strength. Highly recommended!

  Bone Boost Yoga with Abby Contract is amazing! When I started with Abby two years ago, I had never done yoga, but my doctor suggested I give it a try. Abby provides classes with information that helps me to understand how to to the poses, and how to improve my strength and balance, using the appropriate breathing techniques. Abby models each pose first, makes suggestions for adjustments to our particular body needs, and always explains how the pose with help to support our bones, strength, and balance. With a focus on our foundation, Abby considers the "whole" body in her teaching style emphasizing the importance of each individual's strengths and needs explaining that, "You Do You!"
  Abby is pleasant, warm, friendly, non-threatening, and extremely knowledgeable as she has made a real study of this form of Bone Boost Yoga and has learned from the best researchers and mentors. She clearly cares about her "students" and makes her sessions enjoyable and fun! It is well worth the time and money! I was particularly grateful that Abby provided zoom classes during Covid. It was my one contact with the outside world as we all were quarantining. The added bonus of this class is that I was able to improve my body image, lose some weight, and made some very nice acquaintances as well!
  Abby Contract is a gem of a person and has all the qualities of a wonderful teacher. She is articulate, patience in explaining, anticipates our needs, asks if we have any questions at every session, and always ends with a beautiful poem or piece of prose to brighten our day! Everyone deserves an hour with Abby...give yourself the special gift today!

  Who knew that doing yoga with osteoporosis could be dangerous? Once I understood that, it was so hard to find a yoga instructor that really understood this. I finally found Abby during a hike in Fairmount Park! Abby offers class in-person and via Zoom (which works best for me). It is fun and easy to follow but most of all IT IS SAFE! Plus Abby is inspiring and supportive. I wholeheartedly encourage anyone (even without osteoporosis) to try the class.
