  I made the rather far trek to Yarnia from central Jersey and it was so worth it! The staff was very kind and I felt inspired by the knitted pieces I saw in store. They even gave me a free pattern for the specific yarns I purchased. Great selection and I definitely see myself returning some day.

  Great store. Drove from Manhattan to match a yarn for a sweater I’ve been knitting; stuff was really nice. They were about to close for a short break, but she didn’t rush me out and I was able to finally find what I’ve been looking for. Will definitely go back to spend more time indulging in gorgeous yarns, laid out in a spacious layout.

  I am a brand new knitter and I’m so glad I was introduced to Yarnia by a friend. I like this store so much that it has become my LYS despite living 2 states away! The store is welcoming and the staff not only encourages extended browsing but will take the time to answer your questions (you may have to be patient if the store is busy). As a new knitter, I have a lot of questions and appreciate the patience they’ve shown. They are also more than willing to help over the phone. I called the store to see if they had a specific color way of a yarn I had purchased there. Kathleen checked the inventory while I was on the phone. They didn’t have it in stock and it is from a shuttered brand, so they couldn’t order it for me. But, if it was being produced, they would have taken my order over the phone and shipped it. I plan on introducing a friend who lives in PA who has family in the area to Yarnia during this year’s Wool Walk because I‘m so pleased with my experiences with the store.

  Amazing local yarn store! So many choices in a range of fiber contents, budgets, and colors! Picked up a beautiful hand dyed skein I can’t wait to use! The staff is very friendly and helpful too

  Update Oct 2021:
  The new location is amazing. Loads of space, tons of light, and so easy to browse. Same fantastic selection with a range of yarn including the more affordable as well as luxury brands and hand dyed. There's all the basic tools like needles and hooks, and there's a really nice selection of other crafts like embroidery and there's some spinning supplies too.
  
  And I *love* all the notions and extras - skein coats and project bags and stitch markers and all the other fun stuff.
  
  Covid: Staff is masked, customer masks are required. Curbside delivery is offered via text, phone call, or the website.
  
  Bathroom: They've got an all gender bathroom :D (though I'm not sure if it's for customers only)
  
  Accessibility: some aspects of the space are a little narrow but there should be enough space for most mobility aids. I think the front area would work for a wheelchair, but can't confirm. The backdoor isn't automatic, but there's a bell or you can text them for the door to be opened. There's no steps to get to the back door.

  Lovely new shop! Excellent selection of weights, price points, and fibers, and even spinning fiber. Super nice owners and they're crochet friendly!
