  I've been very pleased with Wren. The folks there are smart, nice, and patient in explaining their NETest, which uses a simple blood draw to give a measure of neuroendocrine tumor activity. And, the price of the test ("Buy None, Get 3 Free" a little while ago -- check to see current pricing) couldn't be beat. Although I understand that thousands of tests have been done with considerable success (call Wren to ask for details), there is now a formal Clinical Trial of the NETest in progress at Moffitt in Tampa. The only way Wren's test, or any other "liquid biopsy" test, can become widely accepted is if the data base builds and the results continue to prove out. With the understanding that no test (or marker, for that matter) is 100% perfect, and with an easy low-cost test (done either in Connecticut or locally with a Fedexed kit), why not help build the data base and potentially get more information on your disease?

  Excellent, friendly and responsive staff! I have been participating in Wren's Registry of NET patients for years now. I have visited the Lab site in CT where I consulted with Dr. Modlin who was very gracious with his time and generous with his knowledge. Wren makes it very easy to participate in quarterly blood draws by sending a complete kit to the patient who then has his/her own doctor do the draw. The patient then sends back the kit by Fedex (at no cost to the patient except for the minimal cost of dry ice). There is no cost to the patient for participating in Wren's Registry, and the potential benefit to NET patients to track their disease progression and to those who wonder if they might have NET in the future is immeasurable. I hope that the NETest soon receives FDA approval for general use in helping NET patients and their doctors track and evaluate their cases for determining treatment needs and options!
