  Lisa has a gentle and soothing soul extremely suited to teaching tai chi. It is a pleasure taking classes with her. Although you may sometimes work in small groups for support, it’s mostly a series of independent lessons within a class setting. I also take stick and saber with her which is a lot of fun. I am an acupuncturist, and I have sent many patients to her class to improve on balance, to help stop deterioration of conditions such as Parkinson’s and multiple sclerosis, and to rehab after injury once I’ve gotten them to that point. I consider Lisa‘s tai chi classes much better than most PT situations. What’s really great about the classes is that you can take what you learn home, you don’t need a large space – you don’t need any special equipment… You just need to clear your mind, breathe and move. In these stressful times her classes have been a godsend.

  Lisa is a great teacher, very patient and helpful. She always gives one on one pointers and tips on improving your form. Classes are held at Burke Center which is a beautiful facility and emphasizes the healing aspect of tai chi. Her many classes include beginner tai chi, Qigong, meditation, Yang short form and tai chi stick and sword.

Class Schedule | Westchester Tai Chi Center

In-Person Tai Chi for Balance. Tuesdays. 11:15-12:00 pm. 12:15-1:00 pm. Each class includes Qigong, Tai Chi for balance, Tai Chi form, and Tai Chi walking. All movements are done standing or walking. Both classes are appropriate for all levels. But if you need chair assistance or to be seated, please register for the 12:15 am class.
