(April 8, 2023, 1:39 pm)I have passed by this numerous times. Today I decided to go inside and see what it was all about glad I did. I was given the option of a private tour or just looking around. I chose to just look around today. Admission is free but donations are welcomed.

The veterans who conduct the tour are very knowledgeable and super sweet!
It’s free, but donations are appreciated!
I wish it was self guided, but it’s understandable given the circumstances.
The guide lasted roughly 2 hours for us.
Personally I don’t know any veterans or much about the wars, but the veterans taught me a bunch of things I would’ve never known otherwise.
If you’re in CT, this is a must visit. If you’re not from CT, this is a stop you should make. -

The museum was very interesting with donated displays on relevant timeline.
Loved to learn the history of the namesake of many streets and schools in West Haven.
Looks a lot smaller, from the street. -

(September 10, 2022, 5:14 am)I brought a group of seventeen seniors from Stratford to visit the museum. We were greeted by Frank and two other veterans. Frank gave us an informative overview of the museum. At that point we began our tour, Frank led our group from one exhibit to another carefully explaining details and answering questions.After viewing approx. a third of the museum a second veteran took over as we continued the tour, later a third veteran picked up the tour. All the "guides" were well informed and interesting. Reaction from my group of seniors was all positive.
