  Back after 18 years away from Southold. My friend kept my surfcaster just the way it was. Brought it in to Wego and after a guide realign and new line I was good to go. No up-sale pressure and a good-luck out the door. Even got a great, fitted-cap for under $20. Were can you get Fitted caps for that now? Great home-town feel. Great tackle shop with no Bull. Came back the next day to get some Blackfish rigs. I told him where I was fishing an he recommended a rig that was actually cheaper then I was looking at and was perfect. The Green crabs I bought were lively as well. Had a great vacation and caught some fish thanks to Wego.

  I wouldn’t go anywhere else. The people here are honest, knowledgeable, friendly and have great gear at reasonable prices. Best tackle shop for miles around.

  Very limited shelf space so the lures are limited. But they have enough to get you fishing on the north fork. I like coming here because the staff are very friendly and Steve gives free advice on where to go and what to fish for. He basically puts you on the fish.

  Steve always has the best local bait in season. He's always been there for North Fork anglers since he opened his doors. Always happy to share his extensive angling knowledge of the fabled North Fork/ Eastern Long Island region. Truly one of the best in the biz. A real professional.
