  As others have noted, it's the only station serving Northern Connecticut and the Southern Berkshires. Service is.generally reliable, though spaced at 2-hour intervals. Parking is limited in the peak summer months. Toilets, a drinking fountain, vending machines, and a link by phone to customer service would all be welcome.
  
  All that said, however, it's hard to beat the fare!

  I've only used this station once, but if you want to get from this part of NY into Manhattan, it's your only option! If you're starting from a little further west, it is MUCH more scenic to take the line that travels down the Hudson River, though.
