Lopatcong Southwest WC library is the best community library in NJ! Playhouses inside the library so kids can learn while playing. Free internet for everyone. Free scans. $1+ faxes. They had a 3-D printer. Lots of classes for preschool to seniors. Excellent staff who really go out of their way to accommodate your family. Clean accessible bathrooms. Average size magazine collection but has a little of everything. A real gem. And right across the way from Sunnie's Bakery - hands down best bakery in NJ, NY and PA.
I enrolled last year in the midst of the pandemic while the library was shut down for in person visit and today was my first day to go in with my son.
The library is very clean, spacious and the book shelf are neatly stacked with the books. The library is sectioned off into two areas to separate the adult books from the children books and it is easy to walk through the book isles. There are summer events organized for the children,at least two times per week so the kids are not bored
The personnel itself is ok.
My children love the library. Everyone is kind, friendly and patient. I don't get much time to browse for myself due to my children and the holding option for books make it a breeze for me to find the books I want. Hoopla is also a wonderful find. I've listened to many audio books right through my phone. Even read a few over the phone!
Being a book lover I love the feeling I get when I walk into this library. The smiling faces of the librarians greet you immediately. The audio books are just wonderful and plentiful. The area hasa beautiful open space concept. There are many places in the library to cuddle up and read. Because its so open the kids voices carry at times. I guess I feel its up to the parents to teach their children the inside voice rule. Kids can still engage in the creative play area and use an inside voice. The programs they offer are interesting and tailored to all interests.
This library is beautiful for the whole family. The staff are friendly and resourceful. It’s a new construction so it’s very neat and organized. The kids section is our favorite. There are little cubbies built right into the bookshelves for your voracious reader. There’s a little village for toddlers and young children under 7 years of age to play and imagine being grocery store clerks, customers and restaurant owners. There’s a little reading nook with a tree and lots of space to explore. The books are in good to excellent condition and there are various activities to register your child for or yourself.
