  ABOVE AND BEYOND!!! I am down in Florida and wanted to get my wife a 1/2 birthday cake for her 1/2 birthday. She is up in Pearl River, NY. I called the shop and spoke to Walter and briefly explained what I was trying to accomplish. He said he was swamped at the moment, but took my info and called me back. We went over the kind of cake I wanted and exactly what I wanted it to say and that I wanted it cut in half....for her 1/2 birthday. He took the order sent me a picture of the written order to make sure everything was right and finally asked what day and time I wanted it delivered. Everything came out amazingly and from what I have been told, the cake was the best she's had. Not to mention, it was delivered exactly at the time and on the day I requested. I can't thank him enough for taking such care in making this a special delivery. I will definitely be giving any future business to Walter's Cakes

  Walter made an amazing cake for my mom’s birthday!! It was so pretty and it tasted fabulous!!! Highly recommend for any special occasion!!!

  Honestly, can’t say enough about walter! what a good guy. Not only does he have some of the best pastries, almost about everything else you can imagine too! from pizza to bread, to a classic eclair. Oh let me not forget to mention he is quite a story teller. i promise you won’t leave walters without a smile on your face. 10/10 would recommend!!

  I’d been to Walter’s a few times for some desserts, baked ziti, coffee, and it’s been a wonderful experience every time. I’m writing this review after getting a custom cake for a birthday party and was blown away by the attention to detail on the decorating and the amazing flavor! We worked together to come up with a strawberry theme (compote, cream, and fresh strawberries) with vanilla and chocolate cakes. I will definitely be coming back whenever I need a good cake!

  I never write reviews but have to give my strongest recommendation to Walter’s Cakes. We ordered a chocolate/vanilla cake with strawberry banana filling for my daughters first birthday. 1) The taste. Upon eating the first bite, my mother exclaimed it was the best cake she had eaten in her whole life. We all agreed - light, moist, fresh flavor. Very addicting. Everyone had seconds, most had thirds. 2) The look - I told Walter the theme of the party (super heroes) and our colors. He asked me to send a picture - and I sent him a picture of my daughters shirt. He then made such a gorgeous and unique creation with the exact same figure on it. I was completely floored when I opened the box. You can see it attached. Even the sides of the cake have this beautiful detail. 3) The care - Walter took a lot of time with me, talking about what we were looking for, what people liked and didn’t like, etc. It couldn’t have been more customized and thoughtfully done and I didn’t give him a ton of time. He did it this for the next morning. All to say I couldn’t recommend this bakery enough!
