Vision Care Specialists

  My husband and I recently moved to the area and were in search of a new eye doctor. I think we just found our annual go-to "Vision Care Specialists"! I spoke with John on the phone to schedule my appointment. He was fantastic, answered all my questions and never made me feel rushed or like my questions were ridiculous. I arrived for my appointment about 10 minutes early and called when I was outside (as requested given new covid procedures) and was told I could come right in and would be greeted at the door, which I was. I met with John again and just like on the phone, he was very friendly and helpful. He actually went above and beyond when I mentioned a few vision-related familial issues.
  
  I was taken very promptly for the preliminary eye exams and when this office says "The Doctor will be in shortly," they actually mean it! In other offices, I hear this phrase often, which can mean anywhere from 5 minutes to 40 minutes. Fortunately, within just a few minutes Dr. Walker came and saw me. He was very personable and while he used some terms with which I was unfamiliar, he explained everything very thoroughly and also answered all my questions. He really took his time with me and I truly felt like I was in good hands. He took my concerns seriously and listened/responded to everything I said. I also really appreciated that he cared about the fact I worked in front of a screen all day. My previous optician never seemed concerned with this, but I wondered if it contributed to any of my eye issues and Dr. Walker explained why it might or might not.
  
  The only semi-confusing aspect was when Dr. Walker walked me out of the eye exam room and said to wait for him, but then John said he'd take at the front so I wasn't sure if Dr. Walker wanted me to wait for him or if he just guiding me to the next waiting area for me to pay for my visit.
  
  One last note I want to mention is that this office is fantastic about not forcing any costly exams or products on you. I appreciated that they informed me about my options and if I was interested, there are some products or services out there I can consider, but I never felt forced, coerced or really pushed into getting something I shouldn't or didn't need. A previous eye doctor's office ended up using sales tactics on my family members where we spent several hundred dollars unnecessarily and fortunately, this office is nothing like that.
  
  Overall, I am very happy with this vision office and plan to come back next year (or if any subsequent eye issues arise). Thank you John and Dr. Walker!

  Been coming to VCS for well over 10 years. Was always able to get specialized help, be it for contacts used during climbing or skiing; or special filter add-ons for staring on computer screens all day.
  
  This year, my vision barely changed, so I stuck with my current glasses/sunglasses which I absolutely love.

  From the moment you walk into the office you feel like you've made the right decision by coming here. The staff is very friendly and customer satisfaction oriented. My first visit here was in November of 2018. The staff at Vision Care Specialists took the time to make sure all of my needs were met and that all of my questions were answered. My glasses arrived sooner than they would with most other places. When I went to pick up my new glasses, there was a small chip in the paint on the frames, (fault of the manufacturer, not the staff at VCS). They told me without hesitation that they would order me another frame and that I could me hold on to the origional frame for the time being. I was very pleased with their actions and their ability to go above and beyond to make sure that I was satisfied with my purchase. I am waiting for the new frame to come in now, but I know I will definitely be returning to Vision Care Specialists in the years to come. Highly recommended.

  My experiences with Vision Care Specialists has been great for several years now. Dr. Walker is always great. He's very friendly and does a great job. Danny's great when dealing with my glasses selection. My whole family goes here. I recommend them to anyone at any age.
