  I love doing karate. I think that was one of my best decision I have ever made which I am so glad about. We get to learn many different self-defense techniques along with advancing to your next belt. As you would advance you learn more patience and control and what actual hard work is. I have started teaching recently and I adore the students. I try helping when ever I can when a student is mad, upset, cry, frustrated, etc. I can connect to the students helping them get through the tough moment and getting them past. I can’t believe how much the school has made such an impact on my life

  This is one of my reviews that is an absolute must. First let's start that martial arts was never my thing. Well, that was until I met Mr. Burns. He told me to come on down and try it out. I'm like I'm 35, don't think so. So I came and need to say it was a great choice! His patience, professionalism, skill and sense of humor makes him a perfect teacher for a person like me. I thank him for all his time and energy he has with me. This is absolutely a location that should NOT be overlooked!

  My son started with Mr. Firestone and Villari's when he was 6 and is now 17 and still attending classes and working as an assistant instructor. Throughout the years, it was always his decision to continue with his martial arts training and not us pushing him to stay. This is a huge testament to Mr. Firestone's ability to balance fun, with training, respect and discipline. I am more than confident that my son could easily defend himself if need be, but more importantly he learned why and how to walk away from conflict. Mr. Firestone teaches so much more than defense and fighting techniques – he teaches his students to be well-rounded, respectful and good citizens. I highly recommend giving Villari’s of Simsbury a try if you are looking to enhance your children’s lives for the better!

  Love this dojo!!!
  Started lessons for my 5yo son several months ago he loved and talked about it so much my 10yo daughter wanted to join and so she has. The instructions are excellent! They relate well to the children. Classes are organized well. They keep all children engaged while solidly instilling the core values of the martial art. Sensei Firestone is an excellent communicator. If you have any questions or concerns, like we did, prior to joining or after he is very responsive and helpful. We gladly travel 25min 3x a week for these classes! My children benefit greatly. Highly recommend!!!!

  Wonderful environment for kids. My son has been attending here for many years and loves it. It is a safe, nurturing environment built on respect for their peers and their instructors. They learn, have fun and grow as people. I have nothing but positive things to say about Villari's in Simsbury and Master Firestone and his staff. Thank you for what you have done for my son as he prepares for his black belt.
