  Vander Plaat-Vermeulen has been and continues to be a staple in our community, helping us get through the toughest times in our lives. They certainly did this for our family when my Father died in January 2023. Everyone one was extremely accommodating and made the process as simple as can be. Nick Vander Plaat went above and beyond to make sure to take as much weight off our shoulders that he possibly could. My family is truly grateful for him and the rest of the team that helped us on those tough days.

  We recently had my dad’s wake/funeral at VanderPlaat Vermeulen Funeral Home. I am so deeply grateful and thankful to Nick and the entire VanderPlaat family. All my questions were answered in a kind, quick, courteous and caring manner. The entire team was so respectful to my dad; the wake/funeral was beautiful, and everything went so seamless. There are really no words to express my appreciation and gratitude for your extraordinary service.

  Each person we were involved with at Vander Plaat-Vermeulen Memorial Home from our initial meeting through our visiting hours and then my husband's celebration of life ceremony were kind, compassionate, considerate and very helpful. Any question we had, was answered with the utmost professionalism and questions that we didn't realize we should be asking were brought up and we were guided through them very carefully and with kindness. Our family was beyond grateful for their help every step of the way during a very difficult time.

  Though a sad time, Nick and his staff went above and beyond to make sure all went smoothly. He handled every detail which was such peace of mind for our family. We appreciated the kindness and compassion that was displayed throughout the 2 days amd beyond and would highly recommend them.

  If I was able to give 10 stars I would. Nick and his staff went over and above our expectations. They took care of every single detail and made it very easy at such a difficult time for our family.
  The night of the viewing was absolutely a class act right down to our photos. Hey put together a photo show that was absolutely touching to all that attended. Guests would stand in front of one of the many monitors to watch the production of photos that was put together with music.
  This establishment is truly a class act.
  This was an unexpected time of grief for my entire family, I cannot begin to tell you how they made us feel. How patient they were with us. How attentive they were to us.
  Even after the service they contacted us many times to see how we are doing. They have even helped us find a grief group as per our request.
  In closing they made a traumatic part in our lives much easier and we felt like family.
  From the bottom of our hearts thank you Nick and family.
