  I have suffered from migraines for years. As anyone who shares this burden knows, once you find something that helps to control them, you cling to it for dear life. Acupuncture has been the answer. I consider myself very blessed that when I went looking for acupuncture that is local to me, that Valley Acupuncture was what came up.
  
  When I called the office, my first impression was one of convenience and relief. I had called to inquire about pricing and appointment availability, and I figured I would ask if they knew how I could best approach my insurance company to ask them about the possibility of coverage. As everyone knows, calling your insurance company is a daunting task, even for the simplest inquiry. So, imagine my delight when the font desk woman, Sheila, without any prompting from me, asked for my insurance info and said she would call them for me and get back to me with all of the information. This was my first experience with a front desk that was not only willing to do the insurance recon, but volunteered to handle it before I was even a patient, or even asked. Sheila called me back within a half hour and was full of clear, concise and concrete information. I honestly wish all of my doctor’s offices functioned as smoothly.
  
  Patti was the front desk person when I arrived and she is a delight. Warm, accommodating, and welcoming. The office is very clean and quiet and has a sort of light spa vibe, with gentle spa style music softly playing in the background. There are 3 appointment rooms. In all of my visits I would say it is rare that I have to wait or interact with other patients, even when it is fully booked. The front is so well managed that people rotate fairly seamlessly. This quiet adds to the overall relaxation.
  
  Cara, the acupuncturist, is an absolute gift of a human being. Her presence is warm and grounded. She is clear and communicative and genuinely, I cannot stress this enough, GENUINEY cares about you and your pain and will construct a care plan to specifically address your needs. It is one of those great, and frankly far too rare, examples of the right person in the right job. My specific care plan needs include both acupuncture and cupping. The cupping was not something I had been looking for, but boy am I glad I tried it! It helps relieve muscle tension and boost circulation like nothing else. The combination of the two, acupuncture and cupping, keep my various muscle tension issues (neck, shoulders and back) and my migraines at a level that I can easily manage and many days are completely pain free. I go once a week. I look forward to my sessions. There is relaxing music, a heat lamp for muscle relaxation and just some private quiet time to zone out. The days I that I get acupuncture I sleep better as well.
  
  I cannot stress enough how genuinely life changing incorporating this into my routine has been. When I started to talk about it among family and friends, several decided to also go and have had the same wonderful experience. Both of my parents go for various reasons, as well as three additional family friends. So my good experience turned into at least an additional five patients.
  
  Recently I decided to try the DermaPen micro-needling facial treatment that is offered. I did this for a combination of both physical and aesthetic/facial reasons, and I already have booked a second appointment. My skin is glowing and it also helped with the sinus headache pain that I get in my one eyebrow.
  
  I know this review is long, but if you are on the fence about trying acupuncture, I hope this is informative enough to help you make an informed decision. I honestly cannot speak highly enough about this business. I have been going for maybe five years now...possibly more. I can't remember my life before it, and honestly I don't want to.

  Both my husband and I have received acupuncture treatment from Cara over the last few years. She is a comprehensively trained practitioner, not a weekend workshop specialist. Her highly effective use of this traditional Chinese medicine is a product of her complete understanding that wellness goes beyond just symptom relief. She is an intelligent listener with an authentic warmth. Cara shows respect to her clients in small, but important ways, like always knocking lightly before entering the room, regulating the room temperature, and asking if you are ready for the lights to be turned on. This professionalism means a lot when you are in the calm state at the end of a session. Even the building is sensibly designed for health care. A small glass foyer transitions you to the interior where the elevator is positioned directly in front of you. If you have mobility issues or are just not feeling well, that kind of immediate access is a welcome sight. We enthusiastically recommend the Valley Acupuncture and Wellness Center to all, but particularly to those who are fearful of the process. Your experience here, with competent and compassionate people, will change your mind.

  I have been getting acupuncture done for almost 10 years now and I can confidently say of everywhere I have been I am the most pleased with Valley Acupuncture. The environment is extremely warm, calm, and welcoming; the second you walk in you feel a sense of relief and relaxation. The staff always has a smile on and welcomes you in with big arms and healing hearts. They are extremely giving and want nothing more than to help heal you in any way they can.
  I have been seen by both Cara and Mary multiple times and they both have consistently provided healing treatments that make me feel relaxed and calm with relief. I have gone with complaints for headaches, body aches, fatigue, and so much more, and each time they are able to help me and provide relief. They are extremely gentle and caring and listen to everything you have to say, while also providing a lot of information for they are extremely knowledgable and talented. I would recommend Valley Acupuncture to anybody and everybody. They are the best out there!
