My family and I recently visited King of Prussia for the Upper Merion Police Association Car Show at the King of Prussia Mall which we entered my truck in. It was the first time for us. The show was well organized and largely attended by all kinds of cool car owners from all over. We have attended alot of car shows and really enjoyed ourselves at yours not only because of all of the cool cars we get to look at but because of the people we get to meet. That being said my only suggestion would be when it comes to the judging maybe let the participants and or the spectators pick the winner's. We really like when we get to partake in choosing who's got the best ride. So to the Upper Merion Police department thanks for a great time and for keeping the public safe and specifically to the officer's Thank you for your service.
During a very rough time, I had an amazing experience with my local police. Unknowingly, I had dropped my keys, (including home and business) and my car was stolen. When I realized what had happened I was both shocked and embarrassed. It was almost overwhelming until Officer Jen Emrich Badge 3020 came to my aid. She took over speaking with my auto company for tracking, her dispatch and even followed up with contacts she had with a different police dept to locate my vehicle. Then on top of that helped me find a lock Smith for my home and gave me a ride home!!!! I am just thankful for her amazing assistance above and beyond my expectations. Did I mention that she had a Philly officer stay with my car until I arrived to keep me from dealing with a tow company! Wow!!!!!!
At a time in America when the police are demonized by a small fraction of citizens, it is wonderful to see a police force that is striving to live above the hate mongering and fracturing of our society being attempted by the media for ratings, and for some people as an excuse for their bad behavior.
My wife and I strive to teach our children that the police are here to keep us safe. We say hello to officers that we pass, and my six and seven-year-old daughters engage them in lively conversation. I believe this attitude trickles down from the top. We were fortunate enough to meet the chief of police, and he is warm and accommodating and intelligent. With a nearly impossible job, I think he and his force are doing very well.
Consider the King of Prussia Mall. It is only one small part of Upper Merion, But it seems nearly impossible to guarantee safety and prosperity for such a huge complex. That is being accomplished every day by the police and citizens of upper Merion. Their reputation is for reasonableness when doing traffic stops, and interacting with people.
I’m glad these people who are our police are doing this work for us. It seems mostly a thankless endeavor, but at least some of us try to understand the ACTUAL life and death situations involved in the job,
And pray for the officers to be safe.
