(June 8, 2023, 7:03 pm)John and Unusual Imports have been nothing but generous and accommodating. I know this sounds like I was paid to write this but it’s true.
As a girl buying a car for the first time there was a lot of stress and John made things easy and was not stone-faced or uncompromising like so many other places I visited. He gave me a really fair price and was willing to work with me since I wasn’t able to get a mechanic in the area on short notice for PPI.
For any issues that came up after buying the car John was always super reasonable about helping me out. In fact, he saved me from a few body shops that tried to take advantage of the fact that I don’t know anything about cars to invent problems with the car that of course I personally would have no way of knowing. John is like the dad who knows everything about cars that I wish I had, but didnt.
You might be thinking, well of course you have a positive opinion of him since he helped you so much but the point is that after he sold me the car he didn’t really have to do anything. He didn’t have to text me about how other mechanics were lying to my face, or make a new key for me when I locked myself out of my car. He’s done that and so much more and I’m hesitant to say much more because I think it’s honestly unfair of me or anyone to expect that kind of service but that’s who John is. -
