(November 18, 2022, 7:47 am)My husband and I are thrilled with The Shores. My mother-in-law is currently a resident in the tapestry unit for memory impaired. My mom was also a resident there about 10 years ago. Many of the same staff members who cared for my mom are still there and give my mother-in-law the same love and kindness all these years later.
Excellent care, safe environment, daily activities, delicious meals in a homey atmosphere make our family feel comfortable having our mom here. Staff is always available and open to phone calls, meetings or to help out in any way. They feel like family to us.
We feel blessed after a day out with us, Mom is always happy to get back to her comfy little apartment at the Shores.

(November 15, 2022, 4:22 pm)My mother has been in The Tapestry unit at The Shores for the past 6 years, she turned 90 this year. The Director and her wonderful staff are so compassionate, well trained in dealing with people with dementia, they treat her like family. They play games, do crafts, sing a longs, exercise. The entire building is very clean and friendly from the moment you walk in the front door. As my mom’s sister tells me, “you gave your mother her life back,” by putting her at The Shores. It’s a good feeling knowing she is safe and well cared for and happy.

(September 25, 2022, 10:31 pm)The Shores:--- What can I say about the place ? When I came here with my daughter Tiffany and spoke to Brooke Chappell she made me feel very comfortable being here. The staff ( all ) members are very friendly and most of all helpful, with any issue you may have. My room is most agreeable for me and cozy too. At dinner time I find the food is very good. I have no problem getting enough to eat. With the number of people that they feed, I think they do a very good job. I am very thankful that I was accepted to enroll. THANK YOU VINCE VAN GORDEN

(September 18, 2022, 12:40 pm)This place has been such a wonderful experience for my father and my family. My father is 101 years old and was living on his own until he broke his hip in June. I was terrified at the thought of having him cared for by a facility and it’s staff and not myself and my family. Now that my father has been at The Shores since July, I can say with 100% confidence, I made the best choice ever.From day one, all of the staff have been amazing and kind and compassionate. The facility is beautiful, the food is excellent and the staff are wonderful. I cannot thank you enough, The Shores community!

(September 4, 2022, 5:45 pm)I've been serving UMC at the Shore for almost eight years as a volunteer. It didn't take long to understand and appreciate they way they take care and look out for their residents. During my visits, I talk with many residents who often share their experiences in assisted living quarters and have always heard positive reflections probably 95% of the time. If I had a loved one whose situation required this level of service, I would not hesitate in putting The Shores at the top of the list.
