(August 19, 2023, 4:18 pm)I recently went to UCONN ER during early afternoon hours and I was satisfied with their services...The front desk and Intake staff were friendly and respectful. I was able to see a real doctor who asked me many questions during his exam and evaluated the situation before ordering several tests. Dr.Woo in my opinion was on the point and it gave me peace of mind.They didn't rushed me out and even called me home the next day to check on me and with some advice. Technicians doing the tests were friendly and took the time to explain the procedure to me. The only thing I disliked about my visit was that the person doing the Iv caused me a lot of pain and that is why I hate going to ERs...I had pain in my hand until the IV was removed 4.5 hrs later. The IV procedure wasn't properly done & that is why it caused so much pain. They need people with better skills in that area...But I have been to other ERs and they don't even have a real doctor. It makes a great difference in the outcome.
...I do think UCONN is pretty decent.
