  We love Master Kang. He genuinely and passionately loves all his students from age 2-72! He has incredible patience and is generous with his love for the sport. My 2 black belt teens adore him. He teaches basic and advanced judo, for leisure and for competition. We went to completion once before Covid and can’t wait to compete more. He is well respected and loved by all his athletes, a great testament of his character. The dojo is clean and well kept. Highly recommend!

  Our son has been attending U&K and learning from Master Kang for approx 2 years. Not only does he provide a great atmosphere for the kids, but also personally takes time during each class to tend to every student, which is rare. His dedication to the overall well being of his students is evident. Our son started off a bit shy when he originally started at U&K but now is more confident and outgoing. Plus he's become a pretty good judo student as well.

  I've been practicing judo here for the past four and a half years, and it's awesome. Master Kang is a very good teacher, a real professional, and my knowledge of judo has improved greatly thanks to his teaching.

  Great Judo! I trained here and at the Paramus branch the past week and found it to be well priced and very friendly to visitors.
  
  The trainings were well balanced for both competitors and learners of Judo, with light sparring happening every session. The environment is well suited for younger children, as the atmosphere is very relaxed and it is not an intense gym full of testosterone.
  
  But that does not mean this place is unsuited for experienced competitors. I’ve been doing Judo for the past decade, and I still learned a lot from the red-white belt Master Kang. It also is very impressive how fit he is, and how you can tell he is probably in better shape than most Judo players, let alone coaches, even are. Definitely swing by with a training partner if you can, just to learn and hone in on your technical ability.

  We are honored and proud to have our son being part of such an amazing place and family. What a great atmosphere and terrific, professional, caring Teacher. Master James Kang is AMAZING!
  
  My son has been coming here for 2 years. They are immersed in it with such deep passion for Judo. At U&K Judo academy not only they learn a Martial Art they also learn self defense, self confidence, focus, and so many more skills. . The students are great, caring and careful especially with beginners. Looking forward many years with our judo family.
