  We happened to be staying in the hotel across the street for a few days, but this is definitely a place worth seeking out. Fun and helpful staff, and lots of delicious sounding dishes. We went with the grilled octopus, squid ink pasta, and chicken scarpariello. Lots of wine by the glass options and a full bar. Thanks for a wonderful dinner!

  I learned how to make sauce when I was 5 years old. My mom would tell me, "Chip, what are you going to do if you marry an American girl (non-Italian?) Who's going to make your sauce?" I'm 72 now and have been cooking for 67 years. BUT, I never realized what a real sauce tasted like...until tonight! I went into Tramonto Restaurant and tasted a delicacy of Italian cuisine that was better than any other this side of heaven. I am not one for hyperbole but when you taste what I had the honor to taste tonight, you will have to agree with me!

  Our first impression was disappointing as we were extremely rushed. We were 2 but asked for a larger table and were turned down. Appetizers came & they were circling for us to finish. Within - what felt like 7 - mins the main course was out and my friends appetizer plate was literally taken from her while she was still eating. There was a private party inside that was about to begin an hour into us being there & perhaps that's why we were rushed initially? But once the private party started things settled down and service was pleasant. Everything we ate was very nice, and we were not rushed once the main course was on the table. We ended up staying longer to enjoy dessert and cappuccin. Pretty ambiance, would try it again

  So glad we decided to meet my son at this Hawthorne restaurant instead of White Plains. Only 40 minutes from Brooklyn, convenient location, plenty of parking. The appetizers, entrees and desserts we ordered were all delicious! Excellent service from the moment we arrived and also a really cool atmosphere! Highly recommend!
