(February 11, 2023, 11:29 pm)I love total beauty salon and it looks like it is becoming my regular salon( which is good being that I’ve only been there 2x) My only suggestions have to do with scheduling ⏱️ and clarity on pricing. Both appointments I’ve had started about 45min to an hour after the time.( the first time the stylist did give me a complementary condition, which was nice 😊 ). I didn’t mind about the time to be honest because I was off both days but I think it messed with the schedule for other appointments. ( I as a client felt bad for the ones waiting after me ) . Also for the most recent appointment I was charged $20 dollars more for my hair texture and coarseness , it wasn’t explained to me just added on in the end. This did not happen during my first appointment and my hair texture hasn’t changed so it was a surprise to me. Again I didn’t really mind because SHE DID SUCH AN AMAZING JOB IF NOT PERFECT WITH MY STYLE!! 😇 💕 I had in my mind to pay her $100 instead of the $70 for the natural hair cornrows , but I am being honest because another client might have minded because it wasn’t explained when booking online that the price will go up based on hair type, nor was it explained at checkout. Additionally , it wasn’t my first time there and I was not charged more the first time. However, Because I think she is an AMAZING stylist it didn’t bother me but I have to give an honest review and feedback for total beauty salon and future clients. Communication can be improved upon not just for the stylist but for the business as a whole ( I did call back and inquire after I left why there was an additional charge and at that time the receptionist explained it to me). I also think the owner is very polite and engaging! She is very kind which makes coming back to the salon easy ✅. Both the stylists I had were GREAT and know about natural hair! Which is why I am giving 4/5 stars ⭐️ it would be 5/5 if not for the 2 suggestions above with timing and price clarity on my second visit.
