(August 8, 2023, 1:19 pm)Very interesting museum about NYC resevoir system with something for all different ages. The displays on the basement level had great hands-on activities for kids. We would go back again when we're in the area.

(May 28, 2022, 9:27 am)Fabulous, unique perspective on the NYC watershed development and its impact on the local communities. Also plenty to learn about local history in general. Museum has a reproduction of a Catskill area farm from the 1930s with buildings actually relocated from local farms. The museum director and volunteers are wonderfully helpful. Must see when visiting the area.

(August 29, 2021, 7:58 pm)One of the nicest museum I have ever been in. It has great exhibits about the reservoir and the towns that were lost during the building the reservoir and Delaware aqueduct. Also on the hill behind the museum some buildings that were moved barn, milk house and lovely old house. Is worth the visit.

(June 15, 2021, 8:52 am)This is a surprisingly good local history museum. It has exhibits on settlements from Native Americans to the early 20th century, the building of the NYC Reservoir and water tunnel system and on one room school houses. They have nearly completed a re-creation of a typical Catskill family farm on the hill top above the main museum. All in all, it's well worth the $5 admission.
