(August 12, 2023, 6:26 pm)Woodhouse is an amazing gem of a property in the Northern Catskills. My fiance and I booked the A-frame suite during our wedding weekend at a nearby venue and hosted a Friday night welcome drinks and Saturday post-wedding after party at Woodhouse. Both events were spectacular and we really appreciated help from Mallory and Holly. Many of our family and friends stayed on-site and we all enjoyed the super comfortable beds, modern furnishings, beautiful property, delicious pizza at the restaurant, and friendly staff (Allison was particularly lovely at the check-in area!). Our after party featured a bonfire with pizza, a cooler full of natural wine and local beer, and s'mores -- it was everything we'd hoped for and more. I wholeheartedly recommend the Woodhouse as a great hotel to stay in for a vacation or to host a big event -- particularly wedding weekend events as we did. (Additionally, my mom, mother-in-law, and sister-in-law, and I all got our hair and makeup done in the A-frame suite, which has plenty of space and amazing natural light for a wedding day bridal suite.)

We booked our rehearsal dinner, welcome drinks and wedding after-party at Woodhouse Lodge as all private events. We had been working with the Woodhouse Lodge Team for quite some time in preparation for our events surrounding our September 3rd, 2022 wedding and they were very accommodating and willing to work with us through all of our iterations and ideas for these events. This area is not a very large area, so there are limited choices for wedding after-parties, but we were so thrilled with our decision after everything was finished. (Woodhouse Lodge at the time was a newer venue that was recommended by our local wedding planner). Our wedding was almost 100% out-of-town guests, so this was essentially a destination wedding for us. The rehearsal dinner/welcome party had a amazing food, the venue itself was beautiful (and even beautifully decorated with some flowers which was such a sweet surprise!), but the after-party was simple but PHENOMENAL, and the best way to wrap up our wedding weekend. We were a little bit worried with the strict noise ordinances in town what the after-party vibes would be like, but when we arrived with almost our entire wedding via limo shuttle busses, the staff was in great spirits, ready to serve, had the BEST after-party music playing, and kept the drinks flowing, late night pizzas we pre-ordered and our guests so happy all night. If you are using the Woodhouse Lodge for any wedding welcome parties or after-parties, we definitely recommend you providing transportation like we did if you can just due to limited parking, and it gets quite dark on those backroads at night with lots of deer (and so you and your guests can fully let loose!). (December 11, 2022, 7:56 pm)We booked a last minute trip here because we wanted a cozy weekend away, and we got just that! Before we arrived, we received a text checking when we will arrive. We told them around 8:00 pm. Just before 8, we received a text letting us know our room number and that we could just go on in. We then received a follow up text asking if we wanted to order room service or a reservation at Woodhouse Pizza. We went with the reservation. At Woodhouse Pizza we were greeted and sat right away. The pizza was delicious, drinks were too! The next morning we received a text if we would like any food or did we need any toiletries. We got two bagels, warm, delivered to our room! The same service continued for the duration of our stay. The hospitality was unlike anywhere else we’ve ever been. The rooms were super cozy, the fire pit with complementary s’mores, and the surrounding area truly made it the perfect spot to unwind and relax. The beds were incredibly comfortable. We will most definitely be returning for another visit!
