I am a very hands on person who loves to learn. My husband spotted a sign for a free welding workshop for women. I went to the workshop and I have to say the instructor was not only knowledgeable, she was also very warm and you had a feeling that you would be okay with her. Pauline is the founder as well as the instructor. If you have ever been interested in welding I would definitely say this is the best place to start out. Whether you're looking for a career, hobby or knowledge I would recommend The Welding Workshop.
Pauline is an awesome teacher who truly wants you to succeed. She is observant of your technique and understands that the learning process can be challenging. The Welding Workshop has been a godsend to me. This is the ONLY legitimate one-on-one style welding course on Long Island. Pricing is good too compared to the other courses which are offered on LI (there are barely any). I have been a student here for 5 months. During this time Pauline has been preparing me for the structural welding certification exam. We will also be dabbling in TIG.
Pauline goes the extra mile. She tries to help with employment opportunities and gives advice in what to expect in a typical welding interview. This is a huge benefit if your an uncertified entry level welder new to the field.
Fantastic Women's Welding Workshop! I totally enjoyed & learned so much in a comfortable environment. The style & knowledge of the Founder/Instructor, Pauline, was amazingly empowering. Safety was a top priority & taken seriously. We were provided all necessary PPE & properly instructed on all necessary safety measures. We were taught the dangers around welding before we started using or getting near any machinery. When we were hands on, I was guided every step of the way & shown in great detail. It gave me a huge confidence boost in my abilities. This is coming from someone with a learning disability so sometimes it's hard for me to stay attentive & retain information. The lessons were very well articulated so I was able to grasp everything, easily follow along & intrigued the whole time. Learning from Pauline, you can see how passionate she is about welding & how she genuinely wants to see you grow. It was a great experience & will help me to further my career in ways I never thought possible. I can't wait to attend another class & continue learning! So, anyone looking for a great class/instructor, I highly recommend The Welding Workshop!
The class my daughter (10) and I took at the welding workshop was not only a unique experience, but one of the most fun and creative activities we've ever done together! Pauline is so knowledgeable, from the equipment to the science behind it. She made the entire class fun, safe and empowering. She is a great role model for women of all ages. Don't be intimidated by the equipment - go for it and enjoy it - you won't regret it!
