  We had such an amazing time here. Amanda and Joe were so hospitable and sociable. The Villa is on a very picturesque property. The Villa itself looks straight out of architectural digest and the rooms were top notch. The breakfasts were unique each day and really blew us away with creativity (and taste!). You will not leave hungry as you adventure out in the nearby towns. We also opted for the Saturday night dinner which was delicious. Would highly recommend a stay here for anyone looking for a nice getaway.

  We cannot be more pleased and surprised by Amanda & Joe’s hospitality! I surprised my sister with a 40th birthday girls getaway at The Villa! We were welcomed with the warmest arms and immediately fell in love with the stunning details and luxurious room & property! Not to mention the best, healthiest, & gourmet meals we have ever had! We (my sister and I) highly recommend staying at The Villa!

  A hidden gem in Saugerties. Amanda and Joe are beyond gracious, and very sweet, and kind. The villa and grounds are exquisite, and the attention to detail in every aspect, including the wonderful complimentary breakfast that you will talk about each day, and look forward to the next.
  
  We were sad to say goodbye to our hosts, and to leave such beautiful surroundings. So we have decided to make it an annual trip, and booked our stay for next June. We cannot wait!!!

  If you have the time and money, the rewards of staying here are everlasting. Amanda and Joe have worked for years (yes, years) in order to create a getaway from NYC that is only familiar once you drive a few miles away from it and realize you are still in New York State. Each piece of furniture, each plant, each plate, each and every item has been handpicked by them. The experience here is incredibly peaceful, and accessibly luxurious. No pretense, just pure elegant getaway and a small sense of community. There is an outstanding dinner on Saturdays, where they take into consideration their guests preferences. Consider booking today for three months from now because that’s how well-loved and highly desired this location is.

  This review is LONG overdue, but must be shared. In short, The Villa was easily one of the best places we have ever stayed and one of the most fun experiences we have had.
  
  My wife and I (both early 30s) went back the Fall to celebrate our wedding anniversary. Typically, we are not bed and breakfast style people. We like our own space and don't love staying with and around strangers in an intimate setting. But after looking at some of the reviews and pictures, we decided to give it a shot.
  
  Amanda and Joe are two of the nicest, warm, fun and amazing people we have ever met. From the minute that we arrived, we felt like we just got to the home of a long-time, great friend and not a hotel/B&B.
  
  The main house where you stay is decorated incredibly well and so clean it was like we were the first people to stay there. You can tell that Amanda put in a ton of time, thought and effort in to the decorating. Everything was perfectly chosen; from the furniture to the pottery to the art to the lighting, it all came together so well.
  
  The guest rooms are SO nice and cozy. We couldn't get over the amount of thought that Amanda put in to the design and the little details. The bed is extremely comfortable, the room is ridiculously (in a good way) clean, and it just has such a nice at home, cozy feel to it that makes you never want to leave.
  
  One of the most important things to us when choosing somewhere to stay is the food. We can confidently say, that the food Joe prepared was some of the best food we have ever had. We love local, farm to table, fresh, simple but elevated style cooking and Joe is a wizard in the kitchen.
  
  The meals that he put together for breakfast were delicious. We also loved how they were pretty healthy as well and not overly indulgent, but did have a few things that were just indulgent enough without being over the top.
  
  We also opted to do the dinner at their home on Saturday night. There are some pretty great restaurants in the area, but I would recommend opting for the dinner at their house. It's a really enjoyable experience and you feel like you're out at a friends house for dinner (also you can just walk to it from the Villa, so no need to worry about a DD).
  
  The Villa is also in a really nice location where you aren't too far from towns or outdoor activities. Everything is a drive, so you can't walk, but it's not too far and the area is so pretty you won't mind driving around.
  
  There are probably countless other things I am missing right now, but all in all, 10/10 would recommend. If you appreciate great food, amazing service, a luxurious style of comfort that isn't over the top plus meeting new people, you won't be disappointed. The worst part about the whole trip was having to leave. We can't wait for our next trip up there.
