(December 20, 2022, 1:22 pm)It was my first visit to this facility since my stepmother had been admitted. I was impressed from the moment I walked into the door. Incredibly clean, quiet, professional staff greeted me and patiently explained what I needed to do to visit my loved one. The concierge, Jonas, took me and my sister on a tour and as if he knew my concerns, made it known how the staff looks at each patient individually and attends to their needs. I have never been so taken with a medical facility. A wonderful nurse came in to give my mom her medicine and spoke to her with such warmth and explained to her what she was taking. My mother is suffering from dementia, so his speaking to her was a major act of kindness and professionalism.

My father received excellent care. You hear so many horror stories about elderly care and you need a place that feels similar to home
Riverside was that place for my Dad
Particularly the fifth floor team that was led by nurse Helen. Her team is amazing! Nurse Helen always kept our family up to date with his care and physical as well as his mental well being.Truly a god sent! They treated my Dad like family. Always festive on the floor the team engaged with the residence. My Dad truly enjoyed himself. His dignity was intact and the appreciation and respect of his culture was unmatched! My dad made friends and he was the life of the party. -

(August 28, 2022, 4:05 pm)My visit to my brother today was orderly & pleasant, and a staff member on his floor cheerfully refilled his ice water when I asked. The exit desk staff gave me info where to get a taxi back to Grand Central Station. There was a public restroom available on his floor and plenty of sanitizers throughout the facility. Staff were pleasant.

(July 2, 2022, 1:01 pm)I love that The Riverside has visitors do a Rapid Covid test b4 admittance. Responsible and respectful action to those in their care.
Nurses knew my sister by name.
Immediate response to questions.
Overall vibe is positive by staff.
So glad my sister is looked after well.
Food could be notched up, but outside food can be brought in.
Smell is neutral which is great! No sign (smell) of illness or strong industrial toxic cleaning whiffs.
