  I have attended Laurel Hill since I was the age of four. This school has been the most amazing experience of my life. As I look in the past of all my memories growing up, they are all at Laurel Hill. I have built such a strong connection with each and every person in this school. I’m so grateful to have such loving, and compassionate friends at this school. The teachers are so kind and intelligent, they will always help you. If your having trouble understanding a concept they offer extra help on their free time, or if your having a personal issue they will always listen and give helpful advice.The teachers and children had helped me through some of the hardest times, and I don’t know what I’d do without them. The education is stellar, I’ve learned so much and really understood every concept. I wouldn’t be the person I am today if it weren’t for Laurel Hill. I’m so grateful that I’ve had the opportunity to go to this school, I can’t picture myself anywhere else. I am a proud to go to such a fantastic school.

  Laurel Hill is anything and everything you could ever ask for. I'm in the 2018 graduating class and I have been going to this school since 3rd grade. Every single teacher I've ever met has done everything they can to support every student both socially and academically. I can confidently say that I don't know what's it's like to have a mean teacher. I have made many hopefully life-long friends and my grade has been so close every single year. Because the community is so small we've all grown up together and some people almost feel like siblings to one another. Even the people that leave still have lasting connections with the kids because of their bond. My best friend Carter left in 6th grade and I still see him every weekend. On top of the fantastic community, the teachers also make each and every subject seem relevant and interesting. When I came to the school in 3rd grade, I didn't even know how to write a paragraph and would drop dead before you caught me reading a book. But my third grade teacher Mrs. Stine assessed me and introduced me to my favorite book of all time which I haven't stopped reading and rereading every book connected to it since. Mrs. Bird, the Middle School ELA teacher took my new found love of reading and writing to the point where I shrug off writing essays like it's nothing and just recently wrote a nine page thesis paper in preparation for high school. I am in eternal debt to this school and I wish on every child my experience.

  The new programs at LHS are so wonderful. The Outdoor Classroom is an amazing addition allowing the children hands-on exploration. The Mindfulness curriculum has shifted the entire school toward a deeper and focused engagement. The new Engineering and Architecture programs are exciting and challenging. All of these programs go beyond the curriculum page encouraging and reinforcing not only critical thinking, but most importantly, a love of learning.

  The Laurel Hill School is so much more than a school and you all are so much more than teachers and staff...Laurel Hill is a home away from home and you all are family. You wrap your arms around our babies, big and small, and you nurture them, keep them safe, feed their minds and their souls, respect them, listen to them, support them, guide them, value them, inspire them, laugh with them, comfort them, and love them, every day and year after year. Your dedication is unending and the depth of our gratitude is immeasurable. There will always be a special place in our hearts for our Laurel Hill family.

  We have had two children at Laurel Hill for the past five years, and we could not be more pleased with their education. The administrators and the teachers are so hardworking and dedicated to the children. The class sizes are small and there is an assistant in each class in the lower school, so the kids really learn so much each day. There is no bullying, there are no “cliques.” The students are confident and engaged. My kids are also involved in the after school clubs-- robotics, art, sports, music. We could not ask for any more in a school.
