(July 4, 2023, 6:58 am)The Cherry Grove Beach Hotel is a hotel. The Ice Palace is a bar/nightclub recently acquired (after decades of mismanagement) by Daniel Nardicio, a seasoned promoter and producer of the decades- long Underwear Party in the same location. He has refurbished the physical space, and brought in a lot of nationally recognized entertainment talent. I’ve been there at least once a day since it’s been open, if only for the coffee service, from the only espresso machine in town.
It’s a fantastic space, and I’ve bought tickets to a number of events this season: the Hot Sardines, Joey Arias, Alaska, etc. the sound system and general look are much improved, and the talent is nationally recognized and top-notch.
To repeat, the Ice Palace is the club, the Cherry Grove Beach Hotel is the hotel. The club is top notch, the hotel is still a work in progress, without a pool or pool deck at this time. -

(March 24, 2018, 10:42 pm)Gosh I love this place at times. The parties on Friday nights are truly the best on Fire Island every week. And various events the rest of the week are worth your time. Wednesday nights are definitely a lot of fun. Just take a deep breath, leave your cares at the door and have a great time. Cannot wait to go back this summer!
