I am fortunate to have a unique perspective of The Children’s Center as I am both, a parent of a one year old who attends the infant room, and the lead teacher of the toddler classroom.
As a mother, I want my child to be given the best opportunities to learn and be nurtured day to day. The ache of dropping your precious baby off can be unbearable, but I have never had a day where I questioned his care. He is given so much enrichment through his teacher’s careful lesson planning to evolve his skills through meeting critters like a porcupine! The smile I see on my son’s face when I open the car door, revealing the school behind me- says it all. As a mother I am beyond blessed to know that my son’s teachers are as invested in his education and safety as I am.
As a teacher who has worked in the early childhood education field for over 12 years, I can assure you that this school is by far the best place for your children. The teachers are educated, kind, and passionate. The administration is unbiased, hard working, and always go out of their way to support anyone who needs it. We are a nonprofit school, not a corporation who cuts corners to make an easy dollar like most other schools do. Early childhood educators come to work each day because we love children. We enjoy giving them the tools they need to emotionally, socially, and educationally become incredible humans. Our love pours out of our doors and into the community every day. We volunteer our time to the senior center, GOAT Days, art center, and much more. We think that giving your child the best chance to succeed early is very important and we would very much appreciate the opportunity to help your little ones thrive! -

(May 26, 2023, 1:27 pm)My daughter has been going to pre-k at the children's center for almost a year now. She enjoys going to school. The teachers here are caring and very well trained in early childhood education. Being the only child, she loved the interaction with kids younger than her and also kids her age. The different activities and field trips that the staff plan for the school year keep the children engaged and have new experiences that they will cherish. This is a gem of a school located in New Milford!

(May 3, 2023, 10:50 am)We have been sending our daughter o CCNM for almost 3 years, starting in the infant room and she is now in the toddler room and we couldn't ask for a better place for her to learn, grow and thrive. The teachers are so exceptionally kind, nurturing and informative. They provide a great balance of structure and fun new activities each day. The Center is a safe and caring space that I feel very comfortable sending my child to. I feel very informed on a daily basis and heard. I highly recommend CCNM.

(March 19, 2019, 4:22 pm)My son has been attending The Children's Center for 3 years and I don't have enough words to say how grateful I am to have found this daycare! My son became more confident and was well prepared when it was time for him to start Kindergarten. Every single person working there genuinely cares about each child and goes above and beyond for the families. I appreciate the extendend hours and the sliding fee scale that makes daycare affordable and is such a huge help!
