Genevieve has been monumental in helping me progress in the gym. I came to her with a very old shoulder injury that would flare up on and off. Through targeted exercises and therapies ( acupuncture, cupping etc) my shoulder has remained stable and we are now progressing with strengthening all together through more challenging exercises. I would highly recommend Genevieve to anyone seeking treatment!
You are reading this because you are wary of the benefits of doing PT. You are also wondering if this is just for "Athletes". I was that guy before. I attended a seminar back in Oct/Nov that was run through my local gym. I suffered through hamstring injuries, calf tightness and issues with my hips. I would do the whole "take a break" and heal but that was a exercise in futility. I needed to get at the core issues but did not have the expertise, experience, or planning that was required to make a positive change. This is what Genevieve's practice is all about, Taking Action To Enact Change. Her consultative approach to what the underlying issues are helps prepare you to execute on what is needed to make change happen. Her practice has given me the opportunity to build and focus on the steps I need to continue to be the "Athlete" I want to be. She will be a go to person for me moving forward and someone I routinely refer people to. I am now aware that positive change starts with me but saying I need help is actually where it begins.
I was referred to Genevieve by a friend and with her help I am running pain free for the 1st time in over 3 years! She is thorough, knowledgeable, and personable. She uses various treatment methods including, but not limited to, cupping and dry needling in addition to the exercise plan. Her skills and implementation of physical therapy was exactly what I was looking for. Highly recommend!!
Genevieve (G) has taught me the benefits of physical therapy. I have always avoided doctors being afraid they would insist I do not workout. That is not G. She works with you and provides exercises to complement your workout routines so you can continue to build strength while healing. It’s important to remain consistent with therapy and commitment to the exercises to see improvements. Thanks G for your teachings, patience and seeking to work with and understand your clients! You’re simply amazing!!
For over 5 Years I was dealing with severe pain in my shoulder that limited many aspects of my life including CrossFit workouts. After less than 2 months of working with Genevieve, I'm now pain free, much more mobile, and feeling better than ever. Every visit is time well spent and the at-home work requires a minimal time commitment. She has also helped enormously with achilles and elbow pain. My recommendation is to not wait like I did - get Genevieve's help and get on the path to being pain-free.
