  I bought a private lesson for my wife and I as a 9th year anniversary gift…gentlemen, the traditional anniversary gift at 9 years is pottery, so think ahead!
  
  I digress, I looked at a number of studios, but Millstone was the only one to offer an actual lesson. Chris was very friendly, talked us through the entire process, step by step. When he noticed we were going awry, he would stop us and explain how to improve what we were doing.
  
  He gave very detailed instructions and explained how everything worked, why you use your thumb here, instead of you index finger, he explained the tools and there use, how the wheel works and how to work with it. The entire process was easy and we learned a ton.
  
  Chris is a genuinely nice person and is passionate about what he does and wants to share with the world. We enjoyed our time learning from him and have discussed going back for more classes.
  
  The shop is very clean and Chris is very professional. I honestly cannot rate this place high enough, as 5 stars doesn’t seem like enough.
  
  We really enjoyed making our pots and are looking forward to the finished product! If you have a chance, you should go and take a lesson, very therapeutic and relaxing!

  I booked a family learning session for Father's Day. It was such special experience for all of us! The instructor was incredibly knowledgeable and patient with two adults and two children who had never been in a pottery studio before. My children immediately asked about lessons! All four of us had an incredible time and we look forward to going back.

  We absolutely love this place. My son invited a few of his friends here for his birthday and had an amazing time with the clay wheel. Chris was extremely accommodating, opening the studio just for us, he taught the kids how to use the wheel and they had a blast making their pottery. This is a great place to host an event or bring your kids, Chris is a great teacher and made the experience a success for my son and his friends.
  We highly recommend Millstone Studios!!

  This is a great studio to lean pottery. I have been coming here for nearly a year now. Chris is a skilled and knowledgeable instructor for potters of all levels. The studio is clean, inviting and has all the tools and equipment needed to lean and grow. And Chris has great taste in music that is playing in the background while working. If you are thinking of learning pottery defiantly check this place out.

  I have been a student at Millstone Clay Studio for several months and I plan to continue. The studio is light, bright, and very comfortable to work in. There are potter's wheels, all the tools you need, and plenty of work space. Chris is a great teacher, patient, and always ready to help or give design suggestions. I have watched several students improve their throwing skills and I know they are happy with the results. I prefer slab building and I make use of the slab roller and the work table for shaping my pieces. There are glazes of every color and Chris is very knowledgeable about how each of the choices work and how they work when they are applied together. I enjoy my time at Millstone and look forward to creating more pots with Chris' help and encouragement.
