  Taro Karate dojo has been an amazing experience for our family. Not only do they teach fundamentals of karate, but they show true care and concern for each student on an individual basis. The instructors take the time to know each student and they work diligently to build on their strengths while improving their weaknesses. Taro karate has helped my son build confidence, strength, and integrity, all of which help him every day at home and in school.

  Taro Karate has been such a blessing for us! My son has trained with Sensei Wojciech for 6 years now. He has not only learned karate but most importantly, discipline and respect. Sensei does a wonderful job encouraging the students to be well-rounded kids while also helping them to excel in karate. He has created a wonderful family atmosphere at the dojo where we look forward to seeing the other students and families every week. And the adult kickboxing class is fantastic! My son has joined in with me which has been great to spend time together and exercise at the same time! We have trained at other karate dojos where my son was just another student – but Taro Karate is different. A great mix of discipline and fun. And the dojo is involved in many community service projects and activities during the year which also teaches the kids to give back, which is wonderful!

  Great family atmosphere! My son has worked with Sensei since he was 5 and achieved his black belt at the previous school where Sensei taught. As soon as he found out he was starting his own school in traditional karate he quickly joined. Now he is well on his way to earn his second black belt!

  Our 11 and 8 year both attend classes & we’ve seen nothing but positive growth for both of them. Sensei truly cares about each of his students & the community as a whole. Highly recommend!

  Sensei Wasilewski came to us highly recommended and did not disappoint. We previously had gone to visit another center and did not feel it was a good fit for our daughter. When we contacted Sensei Wasilewski he requested we come ahead of class and had a discussion with my 6 year old about why she wanted to do karate before working with her one on one through the entire first class to assess her skill level. It is clear that Sensei Wasilewski cares deeply about each participant and he regularly goes out of his way to greet and acknowledge every person in the room from the students, to parents, to the younger siblings. I am so thrilled with the progress my daughter has made with her confidence and skills in her first month. She is already making friends with the other students and student instructors. The entire community has been warm and welcoming. We are very grateful to have found Taro Karate.
