  Our first room booked smelt of cigarettes so we asked for a different room and the manager was very nice and she gave us a new room and it is perfect. Clean, good shower pressure and spacious!

  I grew up in Old Saybrook so I know all of the hotels and motels in the area. Whenever I come back, I gladly stay at this Super 8 because they are the kindest, and have the best value. I can't speak highly enough about the front desk either, she is incredibly helpful and when life can be unpredictable, she is always a rock! She is beautiful inside and out and can only be described as a saint!

  Everytime I visit Connecticut I have stayed in this hotel and have never once had an issue. The front desk has always been accommodating, the rooms were always clean and I’ve always felt welcomed. I’ll continue to stay here when I visit.

  Didn't like the smell in my first room, but I was given another room right away. This was also my own fault because I showed up at noon and asked for early check in but my original room was not ready. Room I ended up staying was decent for the price and services are good! People who run the place are very pleasant and so were housekeeping staff. I extended my stay twice for personal reasons and was able to stay in same room for the whole stay. Every transaction at the front desk was easy, pleasant and convenient.
  Room was decent for this price range. Everything worked in room and has all you need for short term stay.
