(August 19, 2022, 7:17 am)It was our first time here and we were welcomed by their friendly staff who attended to us upon arrival. We were seated outside with other patrons and enjoyed the following:
- The Zesty Pear
- Char Broiled Oysters
- Wood-Fired Cauliflower
- Braised Branzino
- Octopus La Plancha
- Chef's Tasting: Mango Cheesecake, Flourless Chocolate Cake, and Toffee Pudding
Although portions are not very big, everything we had was delicious and tasty!
We'll come back to try out their pizzas which we hear are good, too. -

(July 6, 2022, 1:00 pm)Great spot in the middle of the burbs. The menu is diverse with New Orleans style items included. The oysters are some of the best anywhere around.
The roast chicken was outstanding, juicy. It is a simple menu item that they have perfected. The fried chicken was really juicy and not too heavy. The sweet and spicy jalapeño dip was a great complement.
The gumbo was really good. It definitely wasn't as good as something in New Orleans but there aren't too many places that have it so take it when you get it. -

Everything we ate was terrific: calamari, charred oysters, lobster roll, crab cake, and ceviche (which had more of a “kick” than elsewhere). We ate outside on a pleasant evening. It’s a lot quieter which we appreciated.

(February 27, 2022, 4:00 pm)Very cool spot. Clean-sleek-smart looking little joint. The vibe is casual. The place is clean, bright and inviting. The art is dope and check out the bathroom signs please. The service is friendly. The food is delicious. The drinks are fantastic. The vibe and the people are cool. I came here randomly for brunch on 2/27/22 and can’t wait to return and try their dinner menu too. Great job Team Stern & Bow ✨

(December 4, 2021, 10:01 pm)From the moment we stepped in the hospitality was top notch. Professional, personable, and the service was on point. Crab cakes, fried calamari, oysters, steak and fries, ribs, desserts and drinks were great. Went in with zero expectations and was overwhelmingly surprised by this hidden Bergen county gem. The owner and chef greeted and treated us like royalty. I work in NYC hospitality industry and never come across something as special as this. So far this restaurant made it to the top of my go to night out list. Highly recommend!
