  I searched far and wide for help with my painful Achilles! And got all kinds of crazy and contradictory advice, none of which worked! Until I found Derek at SportsCentric. Derek really knows his stuff. He was a pleasure to work with and is extremely knowledgeable. Derek let me know up front just what recovery would take and he was spot on. I highly highly recommend SportsCentric for your PT needs.

  I highly recommend working with Derek and his team. He helped me overcome a 20-year knee injury from competitive running that no other PT has been able to address. I thought I would never comfortably run again, but he came up with a plan for me to slowly build patellar tendon strength and regain confidence in my knee. After several months of working with him, I’m back on the road running without pain and cycling at a high level. I can’t thank him enough for his thoughtful approach and incredible knowledge, he was a joy to work with

  Hoping to avoid surgery, I sought Derek Mansfield's care for a painful impingement in the rotator cuff. In about three months' time, he helped me expand my strength and range of comfortable motion to the point where that's now possible for me. I found Derek to be incredibly responsive, fun to work with, and informative about my condition and the physical therapy process. The space is also nicely appointed and pleasant to work in. I highly recommend Derek and SportsCentric!

  I really enjoyed working with Derek and highly recommend SportsCentric! I was referred to Derek by a friend and found him to be very personable and thorough as he helped me address a shoulder injury. Best of all, Derek will take the time to explain the science behind the injury, which made me feel more empowered to care for my own body, build strength, and move back into exercise. The exercises he gave me to work on at home were manageable and made a real difference between visits and my shoulder healed very quickly. Great experience!

  Derek is an extremely knowledgeable, talented physical therapist. If you're in need of PT and can get an appointment with him, go for it. I'm a former athlete and super active rock climber and have been his client twice; once for a difficult-to-diagnose ankle injury, and again for a shoulder issue. I'd been to three PTs before I saw Derek with my ankle injury, had been on crutches for two months, and nobody knew what to do with me. Derek asked me to do a few little exercises and movements in his office and was able to practically quote the results of my MRI verbatim to me without ever seeing it. He got me walking in about two weeks, which was something I was afraid to do and didn't know I was capable of. I trusted Derek and it was the right move. He earned that trust through a thoughtful but lighthearted approach to treatment, and an engineer's understanding of how the body works. Derek is an expert who knows how to heal bodies that have broken down, and make active people even stronger. I'm so grateful for my time with Derek sincerely wish everyone had access to such a brilliant PT.
