  I have been training for 6 years and have spent the last three at SJBJJ. I am actively competing as a purple belt under prof Bongiorno and could not recommend SJBJJ highly enough! I live in Philly but drive across state lines nearly every night to train here. The atmosphere is wonderful for anyone from the casual hobbyist to elite competitor. There is a very strong family vibe and almost all of the classes have multiple upper rank women to train with (a rarity in combat sports!). The facilities are large and immaculately clean. There are morning, afternoon, and evening classes for fundamentals, all levels, and advanced technique nearly every day of the week. They also have an incredible MMA squad with handfuls of championship belts. I could not recommend SJBJJ enough!

  I can’t possibly recommend South Jersey BJJ enough. I have been training in Brazilian jujitsu for the past decade and have trained with number if facilities. I moved too far south from my previous longtime academy so I had to relocate, and that is always a difficult thing when you come from an academy that you like and are attached to. But South Jersey BJJ and Professor Steven Bongiorno made it as easy as possible and welcomed me like family.
  And that was only the beginning.
  The level of instruction is beyond what I could’ve expected or hoped for. Absolute top-tier. The training partners are second to none. They push you hard but they support you and keep you safe the whole time. This all adds up to an Academy culture that allows the practitioner to truly excel, and to meet the best version of themselves along the way.
  Whether you are looking for a place for yourself to train, or if you are looking to put your children in a rocksolid kids program with amazing instruction, you can’t get better than South Jersey Brazilian Jiujitsu. If you live near the Berlin, New Jersey area, you owe it to yourself and/or your family to drop in and see what they are all about. I promise you won’t be disappointed.
  And much like the motto of this wonderful Academy, I adopt it as my own. “We never stop, we never quit.” I look forward to training here for many years to come.

  I cannot speak more highly of this school. Professor Bongiorno's teaching is technical and high level, he creates a culture of both intensity and safety at the same time. There is a place for everyone in this school, from the high level competitor to the hobbyist who comes 1-2 x a week. My daughter and I have trained here for over 3 years and I recommend this school without hesitation or reservation.

As a family owned and operated business, professor and his wife run a clean, friendly, and welcoming academy for all. At SJBJJ you will benefit from a prestigious lineage and get to train with everyone from pro MMA fighters to doctors.

  SJBJJ quickly became our entirely families second home. The culture of everyone working together to get better is second to none. The parents class allows the whole family to train at the entire time. The Bongiorno’s are truly special people. Could not recommend more.
