We would recommend a stay or a "retreat" at Sound Reach without hesitation. The home sits among the trees and it feels as though you live with the birds among the branches. When we were there, we had the delight of seeing humming birds fly from one branch to the next, staying still. We slept to the sweet sounds of evening insects, playing their music to lull us into a peaceful sleep. In the morning, we drank our coffee out on the porch. The whole living room near our bedrooms is also available for lounging, if we had stayed more than a night, that room would have been used as well.
Pam-made us a delicious breakfast. Eggs done as we requested, delicious bacon, CT peaches, who would have thought, and french crusted bread with butter and Pam's own peach and orange marmalade.
The whole experience was splendid. Thank you to Pam, Larry, and Dolce (the dog)!
Sound Reach is a beautiful artist's home in such a lovely, tranquil setting. Pam was so gracious and so very accommodating to our weekend schedule of comings and goings. The room was charming, comfortable, and clean and the breakfasts were wonderfully personalized, beautifully presented, and so delicious. Absolutely perfect! Thank you, Pam and Larry -- it was great to chat with you both and I do hope we will see you again as we travel back and forth from Maine to NY to visit children!
