  If I could give Skyhold Ranch 10 stars, I would! Sophie and Kyle were amazing guides and the horses were equally as special. The horses are healthy, happy and clearly well loved. I had the pleasure of riding George and learned all about him from Kyle and Sophie who have built this ranch with love and care. As a new rider I felt well taken care of, safe and supported. Sophie and Kyle took photos of everything along the way and shared them all with us after. This was an experience unlike any other I have found and cannot recommend Skyhold enough - if you are spending any time in the Catskills area, go ride with this amazing ranch!

  This was my first time horseback riding, and it far exceeded my expectations. The owners of the ranch, Sofia & and Kyle, were fantastic! They were so knowledgeable and welcoming and made the entire experience so perfect. I was given the pleasure of riding " Amos,"who was the most gentle little soul. He was calm and patient, as were all the horses on the ride, and I believe that is because they have great guardians who give them all the love they truly deserve. I can't wait to go back!

  My partner and I were visiting the Cooperstown area and I found Sky Hold Ranch while searching for a local horseback riding trails. This place was exactly what we were seeking! We ride a few times a year and wanted an experience more fulfilling than flat land "beginner" trail. The booking was extremely easy with plenty of availability. When we arrived, we were impressed with how well the horses were taken care of. Sophie & Kyle were very inviting and friendly from the moment we pulled up. After a quick demo, we mounted our horses and were on our way! The horses were well-trained and very easy to maneuver. The trail was unlike any other we've experienced. We traveled uphill to a very scenic high altitude for a breathtaking view of the landscape where they took our photos. They showed us their plans for future sunset tours where a firepit would await riders. We would not hesitate at the opportunity to ride our horses Dollar and Almos with Kyle and Sophie as our guides again.

  This was a transporting experience. At every turn we came upon a new magical environment. Our guides Sophie and Kyle were easy and welcoming. They obviously love their horses and their land and take the job very seriously. I highly recommend it.

  I had a wonderful trail ride out at skyhold Ranch. Sophie was wonderful! It was very easy to get on and off and she made sure I was comfortable before we set off on the trails. Sophie took me on a beautiful trail ride. I definitely recommend this tour!
