  As I looked though the restaurant options in the area I stumbled upon a restaurant called “Sinner’s Steakhouse”. I browsed the reviews one stood out. There was a 5 star review by a gentleman named Nick and what stood out was when they said that they usually hold 5 stars for Michelin starred restaurants, but they had such a great experience that I felt I should bring my family.
  
  At first we did not know if it was even open, but dinner hours start at 3pm and it was 2:45 and overcast/misty so it made sense that it wasn’t full.
  
  The mgr and host were super pleasant, she took notice immediately my parents were deaf and mentioned she studied a little ASL and said hello to my parents, they felt welcomed and super grateful that someone was able to communicate with them, a simple hello or thank you means the world to them.
  
  The gentleman who took care of us, Alex, was very charming. All smiles, and had an aura of hospitality you usually only see in fine dining and hospitality focused restaurants. His bright mile and attitude gave us Immediate comfort.
  
  Ive treated myself and my family to Michelin starred restaurant experiences, and am very familiar with the level of service required, and I have to say that my experience here (aside from some minor attention to detail) was on par with some of the best restaurants I have ever visited.
  
  The wine list was the first thing I looked at, and their options were great. Excellent options from many regions and as someone training to be a sommelier I was happy, I ordered a Pinot Noir from Oregon and it was phenomenal.
  
  Apps: Trio Dip, Raw Bar oysters, Oysters Oregenato, Lobster Bisque, Lamb Chops, Seafood Ceviche. Every single item we ordered was great.
  
  Dinner: Salmon, Halibut, filet mignon, scallops, Brussel sprouts. The filet I had there was on par with Brandt Beef!
  
  One of the gentlemen working as a busser noticed we were taking a selfie and offered to assist.
  
  After dinner we ordered the cheesecake, not only because I love cheesecake, but also because Alex also works the kitchen and I was very impressed with the homemade whipped cream and strawberries.
  
  Throughout our dining experience the restaurant filled up and was full by the time we left, which was great to see since we were the first and only table when we came in which made us feel unsure of our decision to dine there at first.
  
  Right after dining we took a nice long walk around the shore (literally right outside), we soaked in some sunshine and watched the locals fish and enjoy the shore during our digestive walk around the restaurant perimeter.
  
  I made sure to let Alex know this is one of the best dining experiences I’ve ever had in NJ.
  
  Phenomenal.
  
  Now, the ONLY negatives I have to mention (nobody’s perfect, can’t improve unless you know where you need improvement)
  
  Lobster Bisque was a touch too salty, parents are very health conscious, but we all shared one and it was delicious.
  
  Oysters and ceviche were served without spoons. (which wasn’t an issue really but I only mention it because I think this place is very close to reaching levels other restaurants only dream of)
  
  Table wasn’t crumbed/wiped in between apps and dinner, and again I apologize for nitpicking but this is a service standard that is easy to execute and would elevate this location above and beyond others.
  
  Dessert was served without utensils initially, but a young lady nearby noticed immediately as it was served and had them on the table before we even had to think of asking, which showed me there is a team mentality and they watch each others backs when it comes to service.
  
  I couldn’t be happier with my experience, I’ve never been to point pleasant and this is now my destination spot for everytime I visit my parents in Tom’s River.
  
  For anyone looking for a place for an excellent and not so costly dining experience in this area, you CANNOT GO WRONG here. Absolutely thrilled that I came here and will absolutely return.

  Delightful experience! It's everything you can expect from a five star steakhouse in NJ! The crab cakes are amazing and the steak was seasoned and cooked perfectly as requested.
  
  The drinks are great, but the attentive staff really made the experience great. Our Waiter, Chris was very sure to make sure we were good with our meal.
  
  Whether you want to sit around the bar or enjoy the ambience of the dining area, it is a great experience.
  
  Don't forget to go for a nice walk outside!

  Belated Valentine’s dinner with my wife, and we’re so happy we tried Sinner’s. Started with beef carpaccio (huge portion!) and special crab hush puppies, wife had their skirt steak and I had an amazing cowboy ribeye. We shared garlicky mashed potatoes and brussel sprouts, and finished with their “chocolate temptation”. My wife enjoyed their smoked old fashioned and chocolate-espresso martini as well. You HAVE to ask for a table with Alyssa! She was excellent- warm and welcoming and obviously enjoys what she does.

  The crab cake and onion rings for the appetizer was great! All real delicious crab meat. The Tomahawk Steak was also flavored great and very juicy too. An ex co-worker/ friend Katie recommended to her brother’s restaurant and they treated me very well. The waitress and clean up crew were on point. My husband and I will definitely be going back again sometime soon when the weather is much better for the beautiful outdoor scenery. Thank you Sinner’s Steakhouse.
