  My husband and I began seeing Dr. Shoemaker years ago for different issues. No matter what problems we had going on he always would provide some relief if not resolve them for both of us. He makes himself available for emergencies. He is always looking into new treatments. We don't know what we would do without Dr. Shoemaker.

  My comment is in reference to a previous one star review and for anyone who reads these reviews to try to help them determine if they think this doctor will help. I never write reviews. I just happen to be looking up his address as I had just referred a friend. I noticed his five star reviews so I was going to send her a few. The first one had a one star. I couldn’t imagine that being someone’s take away after going to him so I felt the need to read. Then I felt compelled to say what I know to be true. Of course, everyone is entitled to their opinion. I’ve known Dr. Schoemaker for a very long time. At least 20 years. First and foremost, he is probably the most professional doctor I have ever met, very reserved. He’s not there to chat, nor does he joke around during your session with him. He’s a very serious type person. At most you may think he’s too serious. He’s there to be a doctor. I was speechless after her summation of him. Inappropriate comment or behavior, never. He would be the one uncomfortable with an inappropriate comment. I’ve been to many chiropractors in my days, and he is by far the best one I’ve ever gone to. There’s not enough room here to explain the times that I didn’t know where I was going to turn with my pain and he was the only one that pulled me through it. I am referring to spinal decompression and other techniques.With that said, you could just take notice to the reviews left and they are all five stars except for one. I can’t speculate what caused such backlash. It certainly does not reflect the doctor I know.

  Dr. Shoemaker is the best Chiropractor I have ever been to. I have been a
  patient of his for over 18 yrs. Over the past two years I have developed Plantar Fasciitis, This is very painful, if you have ever had this then you know. Well it has gotten to the point where I can hardly walk. My wife was talking to Dr. Shoemaker at one of her visits and he told her about a new machine he has to treat Plantar Fasciitis. Shock Wave Therapy. She came home with some info about this from Dr. Shoemaker and I decided to try it. He set me up for treatment once a week for six weeks, I had nothing to loose at this point, well....... I did notice very little improvement after the first treatment ( which by the way does not hurt and only takes about 15 min ) but after the second treatment there was a huge improvement, My pain level on a scale of 1 to 10 was a 12 and after my second treatment my pain level was a 6. I can walk again !!!!!!
  I am really looking forward to the rest of treatment process, this is a huge game changer for me, I cant thank Dr. Shoemaker enough. There's not to many Doctors that really care more about their patients then charging big bucks just to bill insurance companies but Dr. Shoemaker Does, you will see after just 1 visit talking with him, he is the difference. If you have Plantar Fasciitis do yourself a favor, make an appointment and go talk to him. Thank you Dr. Shoemaker, You're the BEST.

  Dr. Shoemaker is the most caring, knowledgeable doctor I've ever met. He goes above and beyond for his patients. My parents, all of my siblings, and I have been going to Dr. Shoemaker for 25+ years and he has helped us with many different things. He takes his time with his patients and is determined to make sure his patients leave feeling better. I am so grateful to have the best chiropractor!
