  Though I have not worked at Shipley long, I have grown up here and can't say enough good things. My mom has worked her for 10+ years and I have enjoyed coming to work with her to volunteer with our awesome residents that I now get to help serve in our dining room. The staff all love our residents like family, these residents have been like extra great grandparents to me since I was very young. I enjoy the conversations I get to have with them the most.

  I have worked at Shipley for 12 years and absolutely love working here. I have worked in all three of our units through the years and in different positions. I can't say enough of how much the staff loves our residents. My children have volunteered with me and love coming to Shipley to enjoy their time with the residents and staff and now my oldest son works in the independent living dining room so he can better serve the residents he's enjoy to be around for so many years.
  Shipley is an awesome place to work and yes it is some where I would have my Grandparents or parents at. We love and treat all of our residents like family and I would not be working here if it was any different.

  My Aunt was cared for at The Shipley Living Health Center , rehab after a hospital stay. I absolutely cannot say enough wonderful things about the entire staff and the facility-- the communication was wonderful and her care was excellent. Lisa was so helpful with the admission process as well. I highly recommend Shipley Living!!!!

  This is our #1 choice for our elderly loved one if/when she agrees to move. No immediate family lives in the area so the stakes are high. After researching options online (which cannot replace visiting in person), I called Shipley. It was nice to get an immediate pickup from a real, courteous person on the phone. I was put in touch with Ms. Keisha, Shipley’s marketing director, and she has been an absolute joy to work with. When she took us on a tour of the facility, the genuineness of her care for and commitment to Shipley’s residents was obvious. She knew every person by name and what they love. In a time when staff turnover is endemic, we were so impressed that most of Shipley’s staff has been there for years and clearly care about doing their work well, from the receptionist to the head chef to the maintenance people and independent contractor who provides an incredible service to keep residents in independent living longer. The new owner of Shipley is committing millions of dollars to upgrade the facility. Our loved one was impressed by the staff’s warmth, the large size of the apartments, the one-floor living and the community having a good relational vibe; but she cannot bear the idea of leaving what she knows. We know she would be in good hands at Shipley, but will likely miss getting a place because the renovations taking place now will make Shipley that much more attractive to potential residents.
