  I'm a music educator myself, and when I found this piano studio I knew I found one that would help my (almost) 7-year-old daughter become a well-rounded musician and give her the right foundation for continued musical growth. She loves her piano lessons so much that she told me to sign her up for the next term as soon as this one was over. Miss Danielle understands where my daughter is developmentally and provides lots of varied activities to keep her engaged and absolutely loving the piano. I highly recommend this studio to anyone who wants their child to have a positive and outstanding music education!

  Danielle is an excellent piano teacher! My girls are always excited to go to her class. She has already taught them so much, and they only started two months ago. I highly recommend her.

  Recently moved here and searched for children's piano lessons in the area for my child. Researched different places and tried Serenata Music Studio in the summer. Not only is Danielle a highly accomplish musician, she is a fully degreed music education teacher. She is incredibly passionate and makes learning about music so fun and interesting for younger players. I like her unique style: "multisensory approach of engaging the whole brain and body optimizes piano learning." Very impressed with the high level of engagement and growing my daughter's interest in piano with each lesson.
  
  If you abhor the old draconian way of practicing piano 100x and getting punished for missing a note, Serenata Music Studio will be is a complete refreshing 180.

  Danielle reinvigorated the musical spark in our daughter, Olivia. Our 6-year old daughter loved everything musical, especially singing. This natural inclination was always supported with “mommy and me” music groups and random instrument purchases, but we wanted to more formally support her early musical talents. So, we did what most parents would do and sought out a local private piano teacher. I was convinced Olivia would be the next Mary Lou Williams in no time and at her first lesson she excitedly sat at the piano and began her improv song awaiting her instructor’s smile. However, he simply redirected her focus to follow his guidance on the keys. I took notice of Olivia’s diminished attention after each lesson, thinking she was just not into piano. Then, I thought we’d just try another instructor, which is when we reached out to Danielle of Serenata Music Studio. Danielle assured us it wasn’t a diminished interest, but a matter of meeting Olivia where she was. As a college professor, I asked and engaged in pedagogical conversations and Danielle was able to enlighten me in the history of music methods and her teaching philosophy! With pen and paper ready, I asked what materials I should purchase and bring to Olivia's first lesson and she said, “Just bring Olivia!” At the first lesson, whimsical games and activities were spread across the room. I was confused, but sat in the corner watching. Olivia giggled running from place to place where Danielle apparently set up a scavenger hunt of musical notes and terms. The giggling continued as she sat at the piano singing and playing notes in an improv duet with Danielle. Danielle made music fun and subsequent lessons were equally engaging which shows her professionalism, experience and most importantly, her passion to grow the innate musical ability that kids have through fun and laughter. Danielle was a Godsend and I 100% recommend Serenata Music Studio!
