  Silmara fixed a tattoo for me that was destroyed by a surgical scar. She did an amazing job!! The tattoo looks better than the original. It was such a pleasure to meet her and Luiz, two of the nicest people!! I recommend Selden Ink to anyone looking for top notch artists and a down to earth environment!!!

  Selden ink is top notch. Luiz is one of the best artists in the country. I’ve been working on my sleeve since Feb., so the photos are not complete. His work is truly art. I have also done piercing with Silmara and she is phenomenal. Not only is this shop great, they are totally down to earth people and so nice! I am so thrilled we found Selden Ink.

  This is one of the most accommodating and welcoming tattoo shops out there. The artist at the shop are very friendly and care about the work they produce along with the experience of getting a tattoo or piercing . The shop is always clean, always uses brand new needles, comfortable chairs, along with the best staff. With it being a family owned shop you feel the hospitality from them. I recommend this shop to everyone

  I have been a customer at Selden Ink a few times, as friends of mine know the artist personally so I wanted to support the new business. From the minute I walked in the door Luiz and the rest of the staff treated me like a friend and like they have known me for years. Besides that, I have personally seen tattoos in progress, and finished. These guys are no joke, they take their work seriously and are amazing artists. This shop is the real deal.
  
  Im not sure what this review under me is talking about as its clear he has never actually been to the shop or what the issue is. But for those of you who listen to the review below, you are seriously missing out on amazing art work, incredible customer service, and probably one of the nicest cleanest shops I have ever been in.

  After a long time looking for a good tattoo shop on Long Island and being continuously disappointed by poor quality of work and lack of hygiene practices across the board I HAVE FINALLY FOUND A SHOP WORTH GOING TO! As an avid tattoo collector and apprenticing artist there are very few if any tattoo artists on Long Island BESIDES luiz and the wonderful staff at selden ink that I would trust to put work on my body. Every experience I have had with them has been 10/10 the staff is very friendly and willing to help with any and all tattoo needs. The shop is clean and comfortable, I always feel like a part of the family when I’m with them. So far from the work I have received from luiz I have been featured in several magazines as well as winning dozens of trophies from competitions/conventions. He goes above and beyond to create not only a tattoo masterpiece but also a friendship with his clients that lasts as long as the tattoo itself. If you are looking for QUALITY tattoo work I highly recommend Selden Ink, if you are okay with the mediocre work that’s been accepted as the Long Island standard then I suggest you go to any of the other shops in the surrounding area.
