(March 21, 2018, 6:31 pm)We have 3 family members enrolled in SDSS Martial Arts Studio of Ridgefield. My 15 yr old son has been studying there for 5 years (has been a Jr Black Belt for a year) and my 8 yr old son for 4 (will be a Jr. Black Belt in 3 months) and me for 2 (Green/Brown Belt).
The program is excellent and teaches children respect, honesty, self-discipline and many other life concepts, besides self defense, as well as being a very educational way to exercise (I never learned anything running on a treadmill, except that I dislike running...)
The SDSS team at Ridgefield and other studios in the area are dedicated, patient and fun to work with. They truly care about their art and the people who want to learn. I would highly recommend SDSS to anyone, young or old who has any interest in martial arts, or an “alternative” exercise program. -

It's been nothing but a positive experience -- he's learned not just the physical skills of martial arts, but he's learned valuable life skills and character lessons in self-control, respect, patience, and working for something you want. The instructors have been fantastic at every stage -- from teaching a 5-year-old to working with a teenager. I can't recommend SDSS highly enough.

The experience has been outstanding and we have seen the positive effects of the SDSS training, discipline and respect that the instructors provide on our son as he has grown from age 4 to 16! The team at SDSS is dedicated in ensuring that all students have a positive experience and are put on a path to success. They have done a wonderful job in helping our son grow into a confident young person.

I greatly appreciate that the traits we try to instill in our children at home (self respect, honesty, integrity perseverance and determination) are reinforced here. Very proud of my son's accomplishments.

(March 15, 2018, 6:17 pm)We've been part of the SDSS Ridgefield Studios family for the past 7 years. Both my kids just love going there. The teachers are amazing, (especially Adam and Kenny)! They don't just teach your kids the techniques of martial arts but about self discipline, self control, respect, and others.... I highly recommend it.
