  This hidden gem is beautiful. With nice landscape, great trails,amazing koi pond with a bridge to walk over this is photographer heaven. This hidden park is amazing.

  I couldn't believe this place was free to walk through. It is so beautiful and well kept. Highly recommend walking through in the spring.

  I visited the park two days ago, on 5/4/23. It couldn't have been any more stunning. What a splendid jewel it is in an already lovely community.

  Such a beautiful place. Free admission and parking. I will definitely be back at least once every season. Highly recommend

  Sayen House and Gardens is a nice, though smaller in size, public park area with a free admittance, in Hamilton Township.
  
  Sayen House and Gardens are accessed from Hughes Drive and are located between Edinburgh Rd (Old Trenton Rd) and Nottingham Way, closer to Nottingham Way.
  The parking is convenient, and there are slots always available (with the rare exceptions on the days of busy receptions).
  
  The area is taken up by the park itself, and the Sayen House built exactly 110 years ago, in 1912 by one Frederick Sayen (1885–1981), a local businessman and rubber manufacturer.
  Being a devoted gardener and amateur horticulturist, he "purchased a 30-acre parcel of land where he built a bungalow-style home and surrounded it with plants and flowers acquired while he traveled the world. His collection includes species from China, Japan, and England, many of which are still flourishing today."
  
  The Sayen House can be rented for various venues and is popular for wedding receptions. We attended one quite a few years ago. The inside offers an intimate and cozy environment, with a number of smaller rooms for socializing among guests.
  
  Even though the park is best enjoyed during warmer months with its flourishing surroundings, its picturesque paths and trails, its romantic gazebos, quaint little ponds, complete with golden fish, wooden curved bridges and various fountains - all can be equally appreciated in both fall and spring, offering lots of beautiful photo ops. The Azalea Festival, held annually on Mother's Day, is not to be missed.
  
  Restrooms and benches are located throughout the Sayen House and Garden grounds.
  
  Ideal place for a family leisurely stroll, particularly for the nature lovers.
  
  The admittance to the Sayen House and Gardens stops briefly before dusk, when the park officially closes.

Jul. 2022. We have found this place by the serendipity. Beautifully appointed park lends itself to pleasant walking and light hiking. Sayen House built in 1912 serves nowadays as an event venue. The whole place is lovely, welcoming and feels like a sanctuary. Frederick Sayen was apparently a passionate gardener and world traveler.
