Sara Friedman is absolutely amazing! I began working with her when I was an adolescent/pre-teen (12/13) and she worked with me throughout the entirety of my teenage years (12-17). Had I not had her, I truly believe my teenage years would have gone very differently. She is such a down-to-earth individual. She is sweet, she is kind, she is VERY patient, and VERY understanding. She works at your pace and gently pushes you to open up if you are hesitant or have trouble trusting. She has such a strong spirit and she has taught me so much about myself, about what I can do to aid myself in life, and aided me in building the tools I needed to conquer my complex childhood trauma, and daily challenges.
Her 'office' is not stuffy or the cliché, cold, generic office you would think therapist offices to be. It is beautiful. You are surrounded by nature beds, a small natural courtyard in a private area; much resembling a breezeway and it is just absolutely peaceful. You are inside and she has a white noise machine going for privacy and peace. Occasionally, the therapy pets may come pay you a visit (with your consent, of course; Sara is very big on consent)!
I miss her dearly as I no longer work with her (not for any negative reasons or anything she did), but I refer everyone, and anyone I can to her when I see that someone needs help or if someone asks for therapist recommendations.
If you are in need of a therapist--I would surely say to please give Sara Friedman a try! If I could 10 stars I would! :)
