(June 13, 2023, 12:44 pm)Beautiful spot for a walk along the beach. Check out the Audubon center where they have a few aquariums and telescopes to observe the ospreys and other birds. They have a small gift shop and washrooms in the center.

(June 10, 2023, 2:46 pm)Beautiful isolated beach close to New Haven with a nice variety of birds and a little solitude as there are the fewest people you’re going to see on a beach in warm weather. The flip side is that it’s hard to reach, as all the roads leading to it seem to be closed within 1/4 mile as of the second week of June. Be prepared to walk 3/4 of a mile up
beach to where the sanctuary begins from the spots in West Haven where it’s legal to park on the street if you aren’t a resident. -

(July 19, 2021, 12:37 pm)We had such a nice evening 7/19/21 viewing insects, birds, flowers, and the surf. Of special note were the sandpipers. Beautiful view, so fun seeing the families.
