I was homeless, broke, alone, terrified, preyed on, unfairly judged, insecure, devastated and worst of all my voice had been silenced. I was in a new town and hadn’t had a therapist who’d come close to caring in over a decade, but I reluctantly decided to take a chance with Melissa Fisher at Sanctuary Therapy as my therapist in October of 2020.
Was it worth my while? A few months ago, I got my key to a very nice two-bedroom apartment in Quakertown as I had been dreaming of for years. This is the first place of my own I’ve had in over a decade. I just financed my first car in years recently. The Greek Tragedy I mentioned? I have every confidence that will be in the rear-view mirror very soon. I simply do not have room to tell you everything I have because of this amazing therapist. She is there for me at all hours. She has given me the ability to have hope. She is reuniting me with my family. She has renewed my faith that there really IS someone out there if I need help. She has given me a voice. She has given me my life back. -
