(August 11, 2023, 8:21 pm)Love Salem Valley Veterinary. I have been going there since they opened. I like that they know me when I walk in the door and recognize my pets by name. They also remember pets who are no longer with us and will reminisce. It's great to have consistent doctors who know the animal's personality & health history as, in my opinion, the continuity means better care. I have always had a lot of animals at any one time & and they understand my skills & limitations and that I will always do my very best to be a 'pet parent'. I adore Dr. Slater and how she cares. She doesn't pretend to know everything, but will find answers to my sometimes odd questions. I love that she stays ahead of research that could benefit specific pets. The above goes for all the technicians too! The practice has gotten busier since Covid when so many more people got pets, but I have never felt a lack of attention due to the increased volume. The staff all give the attention needed to each pet and to the pet parents. Thank you Salem Valley Vet!

(April 17, 2023, 3:27 pm)Very happy with the service my dogs have received here. Ava, my tubby German Shepherd developed a limp as well as some lost fur on her elbows.
The front desk personnel were very helpful getting her scheduled and Dr. Slater quickly figured out my pooch has arthritis. After a round of prescribed meds, I was amazed to see how happy my dog was running around again and her skin cleared up.
This is the first vet I've felt comfortable with in a long time, as they weren't pushy with "recommended" services.
That, coupled with the the way Dr. Slater took the time to explain things to me and seemed to genuinely care about my pets well being says it all. -

(March 9, 2023, 6:50 am)Love this professional and polite vet! All the staff was so knowledgeable and courteous with my wife, myself, and our new pup. The vet explained everything in detail of our pups upcoming surgery and made sure we knew all the aftercare that we should expect. Zero issues after surgery and now 2 months later our happy Malinois is 100%! Great place and look forward to any future vet visits.

(July 15, 2022, 8:38 pm)Dr Baratt, the front desk staff, and all others I met were just wonderful. My buddy had a root canal/crown put on his back tooth. They took care of my buddy so well and kept me updated all day. If I lived closer to them I would 100% bring all my animals here! Such a nice group of people here that loved my dog and I fully trust them ☺️ Thank you Salem valley!!!!

(April 21, 2022, 9:56 am)My jack-chi mix is 10 years old, she recently had to have some teeth removed. I seeked out Salem Valley because of the extensive knowledge on animal dental.
What I didn't know is that the staff is absolutely amazing! They are caring and listen to my every worry, even over the phone!
Pricing for all other visits is affordable as well!
When she woke up from surgery the vet tech told me about how she was while waiting for surgery, (howling which they thought was hilarious) and how she acted after surgery. She handed me her wrapped in a warm blanket! The Dr came out and spoke to me about specifics.
The best part is they followed up with a phone call a few days later to check in on her progress.
I have now switched over to them as my normal vet, and I can't be more happy.
